The Beaman Home

Since 1985, Beaman Home in Northern Indiana has been providing essential services to domestic violence victims, and their children, by empowering them to live with dignity while helping to break cycles of violence.

We do this by providing a safe haven, along with supportive services, while partnering with and educating the community.

When a victim of domestic violence chooses to leave their abuser, not only are they, and in many cases their children, walking away from their home and everything familiar, but they are also challenging the power and control their abuser has over them.  This challenge leads to an increased likelihood of fatal violence as the abuser tries to regain control.

It is truly a leap of faith to make the journey from DV victim to DV Survivor.

It takes COURAGE to leave, HOPE & STRENGTH to overcome challenges along the way, RESPECT for oneself to continue toward EMPOWERMENT, until you believe in your own DIGNITY as a SURVIVOR.
